It’s Super Bowl Sunday again! That usually doesn’t mean much in terms of anime, but Toonami Jetstream is streaming the first five episodes of football anime Eyeshield 21 until Feb. 4th.
Eyeshield 21 is a manga/anime about a young athlete named Sena Kobayakawa who becomes the secret weapon on his high school’s football team. The series has been running for quite a long time in Japan, but it hasn’t seen much attention here in the US for some reason.
I wrote about Eyeshield 21 coming to the US quite some time ago, but for some reason the deal took a while to be finalized and Eyeshield didn’t get on Toonami Jetstream until December. Whatever the reason, the episodes are up but it looks like they may not be available after tomorrow so go watch at Toonami Jetstream before or after the big game!
